March 12th and 13th the Lower Shore Workforce Alliance had the pleasure of participating in the annual JA Inspire event at the Wicomico Civic Center. The JA Inspire event aims to begin important conversations about career paths with our younger generations. The LSWA Mobile Unit, VR Headsets, and Staff provided local middle school students with the opportunity to complete career assessments, experience real-life job simulations, and discuss future career paths with our team. Our very own Bonnie Nay had the opportunity to share more about our mission on a short video from 47 ABC - WMDT: www.wmdt.com/2024/03/6th-annual-ja-inspire-returns-connects-maryland-students-with-various-career... ... As of March 11th, our organization's food box for HALO remains empty, presenting a critical challenge to our community. To address this issue, the Lower Shore Workforce Alliance is organizing a food drive to support HALO, a nonprofit organization located in Salisbury, Maryland, that provides essential meals, case management services, and secure shelter to the underprivileged. Your contribution can make a significant impact in bridging this gap, and we appreciate your participation in donating any food items if you can. Thank you; your support in this endeavor is greatly appreciated.

Please consider helping out with the following items for the HALO Café: Instant Potatoes, Pasta Noodles (All Types), Canned Vegetables (All Types), Chicken and Beef Broth, Cheese (sliced, shredded, or block), Butter/Margarine, Canned Gravy, and Milk. Together, we can help those in need and positively impact our community. www.haloministry.org
