The Lower Shore Workforce Alliance, along with the Maryland Department of Labor took a tour through forests of the Eastern Shore with the Maryland Department of resources to learn about the careers within the forestry industry.
For those who have little to no experience in heavy equipment operation, there is an opportunity to learn on-the-job operation procedures for knuckle boom loaders and grapple skidders.
Special thanks to Matthew Hurd, regional forester for the Maryland forest service, for organizing our tour.
